  3. Arrange the food: Place the food in a single layer on the steamer basket or plate, leaving space between the pieces for the steam to circulate.
  4. Start steaming: Place the steamer basket over the pot of boiling water, ensuring that it is not submerged. Cover the pot with a lid.
