Login to Your Account: After creating an account, log in using your credentials.
Check Train Availability: Enter your journey details such as source station, destination station, date of journey, and class of travel. Click on "Find Trains" to see the list of available trains.
Select Train and Class: Choose the train and class that suits your preference and budget.
Enter Passenger Details: Enter the details of passengers traveling with you. Make sure to enter accurate information as it will be required during the journey.
Check Fare and Availability: Once you've entered passenger details, check the fare and availability of seats.
Make Payment: Select the payment option and proceed to make payment for your ticket. IRCTC offers various payment methods including debit card, credit card, net banking, and mobile wallets.
Confirmation: After successful payment, you'll receive a booking confirmation with a unique PNR (Passenger Name Record) number. Make sure to note down this number as it's essential for further communication and for checking the status of your ticket.
Print E-Ticket or Save on Mobile: You can print the e-ticket generated after booking or save it on your mobile phone. Alternatively, IRCTC also has a mobile app where you can manage your bookings and show your e-ticket during the journey.
Boarding the Train: On the day of your journey, make sure to reach the station well before the departure time and board the train using your e-ticket and valid ID proof.
